Jose Castro talking about his collection:
"Dead Bird is born as an anti-thesis of the knowledge from experience in the commercial world, it is a flight from the mundane noise towards the naturally eccentric and individual.
In this womenswear collection for next fall winter I return to textiles such as thick knitwear, and I reexamine a complete range of the color black, the most brilliant to the most opaque through layers and layers of textiles, I convert the downy into tough."

After various years working for different brands, Jose Castro presents his own womenswear collection,
Dead Bird. Inspired by costumes from film and theater and the escape from the commercial world, Jose Castro launches a collection in which the details and textures, the color black and the play of volumes and forms have an important relevance.

Inspiration: classic black and white films, Charlie Chaplin, films from directors Alejandro
Jodorowsky and Stanley Kubrick, 1940s esthetics, and the film Blade Runner (Ridley Scott, 1982).
