As one of the four finalists, Fiona and Aleksandar created their first collection
together which was shown on-schedule at London Fashion Week as part of
Fashion Fringe. This signalled the beginning of a new label : SINHA-STANIC.
Soon after the show, SINHA-STANIC accepted an offer of contract with AEFFE,
the prestigious, luxury Italian manufacturers and distributors whose clientele
already includes Jean-Paul Gaultier, Alberta Ferretti, Narcio Rodriguez and
Moschino.
SINHA-STANIC's first three independent shows took
place during London Fashion Week in February and September 2005, and February
2006 - all sponsored by Top Shop's New Generation Award. The collections
were received with immense enthusiasm by the press who described them as
"sophisticated and polished", "exquisitely made", "cleverly draped" and
"one of the most beautiful seen in London for some time".
