Dana Stinée Messika was born in Romania, daughter of a seamstress. She lived in Romania until the age of 7, then her family emigrated to Israel.
At the age of 18, she began modeling in Australia, then in Japan ... and finally decided to settle in Paris in 1987.
In 1989, she met her husband, the famous diamond merchant Andre Messika and they started a family. She then joined the American University of Paris to learn gender studies and history of art.
In 2002, Dana and Andre left Paris to return to Israel as a family where they have been living ever since. Dana then went on to became an osteopath and enjoyed this profession immensely.
However in 2016 she decided to listen to her intuition and create her own women's ready-to-wear brand: Danamé. Her fashion project aimed to make handcrafted embroidery and simple designs with elaborate detail more accessible in the fashion world, advocating fineness and elegance.
